			Meramec River Recreation Association Has brought together state and local government representatives, local citizens, adjacent landowners and business owners from the lower river valley to plan the preservation, enhancement and management of the 108-mile long Meramec River Greenway. Has worked to improve water quality, preserve natural features and flood plains, and develop public recreational facilities along the river. Helps coordinate "Operation Clean Stream", a program which turns out many hundreds of volunteers to remove trash and debris from area rivers annually on the fourth Saturday in August. 41 S.
